Gurbani 3: The power of the Rainbird

"BABIHRA AMRIT VELEH BOLYA,
TAAN DARR SUNHI PUKAR,
MEGEH NUON FIRMAN HOYA,
HAON TINN KEH BALHARNE,
JINN SACH RAKHYA URDHAR,
NANAK NAMEH SABH HARIAVLI,
GUR KE SABAD VICHAR."

The Babihra rented the space with full powered yearning prayer.
The prayer was instantly, heeded, heard, and granted.
The rain god was commanded to rain graciously.
I, therefore, flow out in admiration for such achiever beings of unfailing faith.
The rain in a matter of minutes, had cleansed up Nature to its fresh green attire.
That's why, Nanak exhorts, that so can it happen in the case of human beings.
Their insides can be cleansed and turned sublime, if they reposed abiding faith in Lord.
And sent out their prayers, in all earnestness,
That seek good of every thing in life,
Fruition, fulfilment, worth-whileness for all mankind
And glory of God, in the light of Divine quintessentials.
The rainbird`s heartful Fariyad goes beyond quenchment of self thirst,
To quenchment of parched Earth for greening, to extinguishment of raging fires
In human affairs, for blooming of Sakal Jahan with love, peace, wisdom and progress
